Winter Play Dates

Some of the ladies in our neighborhood/ward have put together a play group where we try to get together weekly, if not, monthly to let the kiddos get out and play.  Let's be honest though, the real reason is to allow the mommas some adult time while the kiddos play.

These play dates are especially nice during the Winter months since we are cooped up inside most of the time. I'm actually surprised at all the indoor stuff available for kids, a lot of them being free or quite inexpensive.

Today we went to The Peppermint Place in American Fork.

The kids get to watch workers make candy and all sorts of other goodies through large glass windows.  Today they were making cute eggs with grass and a bunny inside for Easter.  The whole store is filled with candy so after we watched the candy makers, we got to pick out some goodies.  This was a pretty quick outing, maybe lasting us only half an hour but James sure had fun! And it was FREE (except for the candy of course). There were a lot of candies that were offered at $1 or lower!

Since it was a quick trip, a few of us went over to Carl's Jr. to grab a bite to eat and let the kids run off some energy in the play place.

James chose a panda sucker and was so excited to eat it

poor panda

I had to get Carson a sucker too.  Can you tell what it says? Perfect for Valentines Day haha
